Melissa Feeley has been teaching Math 7 and 8 at Ni River Middle School in Spotsylvania, Virginia since 2006. Prior to that she taught 5th & 6th graders in a self-contained, non-graded classroom at Central Academy in Middletown, Ohio. She's served as grade level leader, grade level math lead, co-chaired the Teaching and Learning SIP Committee, and is a member of the Middle School Schedule Committee. In 2015, she was awarded a Spotsylvania County Divison Grant for a 21st Century Teaching and Learning Project, and has presented at several conferences.

She earned her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and her Bachelors of Science in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Mathematics and Language Arts from Miami University (Ohio).

In her spare time she likes to travel, listen to music, bake, spend time with friends and family, and plan her wedding!

Kristin Welton-Oswalt has been teaching Math 7 and 8 at Ni River Middle School in Spotsylvania, Virginia since 2005. She's served as the Special Education Department Chair, 504 chair, Child Study Chair, co-chaired the Teaching and Learning SIP Committee, chaired several FOCUS groups within the school, and is an active member of the Teacher Advisory Committee. In 2012, she was awarded Teacher of the Year. Kristin has presented at several conferences.

She earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Washington.

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, attend sporting events and concerts with her husband, travel and read.

Melissa and Kristin have been co-teaching together for 10 years.
